OVERVIEW

TV has become a necessity in every household. However, they have been stuck in one particular shape and design. This concept was to design a TV that stood out in any space (no pun intended). It called for a distinctive design that was beyond original and ordinary. The vertical screen immediately creates a new atmosphere with its tall and memorable form. Depending on your content, the screen rotates to a horizontal layout. This rotating screen and pivoting base movement, gives you a truly unique experience.

Numerous functions can take place during vertical mode, such as displaying time, weather, music player, or to display customizable widgets. With mounted front cameras, you can have it become a body size mirror.

The curve of the edges are designed to fit in the perfect circle motion when the screen rotates. The motorized circle base also allows the TV to pivot, an iconic functionality of B&O TVs. With newer OLED panel technology, screens are becoming extremely thin and light. Therefore, I thought at that time that these mechanics could be easily implemented. The aluminium back gives a structural balance in the form design and holds all the hardware. This vertical stance is a new way to experience TV.

In May 2018, Microsoft announced the Surface Hub 2 with rotating screen capabilities.
